Friday July 10th 1:48pm: Heading to do a walk thru the mall on the way to qualifying rounds. I check in at 3 and climb at about 6:30pm. My teammate Zan Bode (MYB) flashed both his routes this morning...way to go!!!

Friday July 10th 3:00pm: I checked in at the gym. Hear rules and watch some climbers.  After that I went to eat at about 4.  At 4:45 I started warming up.
** I have pics to get on but am having a problem with my memory card :(

Friday July 10th 6:30pm: I came out to climb. i flashed my first route. I did well enough on my second to qualify for tomorrow. WOW it was hard.

Friday July 10th 9:00pm: Had another great team dinner. Now I'm getting ready for bed. Gotta rest.

Saturday July 11th 8:30am: WOW I had a hard time getting to sleep last night.
I got up this morning and had a talk with my mom. I was forgetting how cool it is to have made it here. I have been climbing under a year and was one of 30, out of hundreds of kids, to make it to Nationals. That is special. I will take on the walls at Momentum Climbing gym in Sandy UT today and give it all I have.

** good job yesterday and good luck to my firends Max Becker, Drew Ruana, Tavray Ma'e & Charlie Barron.  Also congrats to Sebastian Infantes & Lucas Watson for flashing both routes yesterday. To everyone else advancing today good luck on the wall and climb hard!!!

Saturday July 11th 9:30am: Going for breakfast. Check in is at 10:30am

Saturday July 11th 2:30pm: I did my best today. After being in ISO i came out and climbed hard. I came in 14th. Which I am proud of but was not enough to make it to the finals. I will work hard for it next year. I did however, qualify for the speed so tomorrow I will climb in the semi-finals and hope to make it to the finals.

Saturday July 11th 7:30pm: Went to dinner with my team.

Saturday July 11th 9:30pm: Headed to bed. Big day tomorrow!!

Sunday July 12th 9:00am: After breakfast I headed over to watch my friends compete. I was happy for them. It would have been nice to try the route though!!

Sunday July 12th 2:30pm: 2 hours late I get my speed semi-final. I finished 6th advancing to the final.

Sunday July 12th 4:00pm: Man my comepitors are fast. I took 8th in the finals for speed.

Over all this was a great weekend. I couldn't have asked for a better experience. I placed 14th in Sport and 8th in Speed at my first Sport Climbing Nationals Competition, my first year climbing!!!!

More pictures of me and my friends at Nationals to come!!!
